Allen hover mowers are world class machines developed over many years to give operators the finest and most advanced technology in their class. Allen petrol hover mowers benefit from easy-starting, smooth and quiet running honda power packs, which can be used on slopes up to 45°. The usual features of Allen hovers are retained in this new line-up of models: strong duty handlebar fixing to the deck and engine mounting fame giving less vibration and less damage to engine/deck in heavy duty conditions. Tapered cone fixing of the impeller to the crankshaft means the impellor can be removed easily without the use of pullers and so preventing damage to the deck. New ergonomically designed handlebars give a more comfortable and hence less tiring grip, enabling easier side to side mowing. Longer handlebars also enables easier mowing access under shrubs, bushes and into ditches.

Hayter Limited acquired the assets of the Allen hover mower business in early 2007. Allen products have a long standing reputation for superior product quality and superb mowing performance with both professional users and homeowners around the world.
Allen hover mowers are suitable for a variety of grass cutting applications including lawns, rough grassed areas and are ideal for mowing slopes and banks. These mowers glide effortlessly on a cushion of air, allowing movement in any direction. The engine is connected to an impeller which draws in air through the top of the mower and forces it along the underside surface of the deck. This allows the machine to hover just above the ground and draw the grass into an upright position to ensure a clean and even cut. In addition the circulating air stream re-cuts the clippings many times before pushing them back into the grass.
Since acquisition, the Allen product manufacturing operation has been relocated to the Hayter factory in Hertfordshire. 2008 also saw the launch of the first new product into this range. This was the revolutionary XR44 Hovertrim that is designed and engineered to provide customers with the best performing, lightest petrol hover mower in its class.
