The use of modern, anti-corrosive materials guarantees a longer life-span. The plastic housing and its contoured shape, enable a reduction of noise. The large, oblique discharge chute and two larger clearers, prevent the machine from clogging as the waste material passes through.

Other features include a central locking screw for quick access to the cutting blades for maintenance and allowing easy cleaning.

All parts are fully recyclable and the electric motor is fitted with a safety brake, cut-out switch and overload protection for added safety.

What can you shred?

Anything from autumn leaves to tree prunings (providing prunings and branches to not exceed the maximum size shown in specifications) can be shredded effortlessly, producing a quality mulch which is perfect for either composing, or for using around the garden, such as in flower beds and rockeries.

Disc Shredders

Disc shredders have spinning blades that slice material as it passes through, reducing its size dramatically. The AL-KO micro features a five blade cutting system which produces extra fine chippings for use around the garden. The flagship TCS2500 is much more than just a shredder, featuring a high powered chipper capable of chipping material of up to 43mm diameter with ease.

Gear Shredders

Gear shredders are far quieter than disc shredders due to the fact that they have no spinning blades. Instead they feature a rolling gear which feeds material through as it cuts and crushes it. The result is a much larger surface area which will decompose quicker in compost or as a mulch around the garden in rockeries and flower beds.
