Well, it works - that's the best thing that can be said about it. However, getting it to work wasn't easy. The problem with the Al-ko lawn tractor I have is that there's a button on the back that needs to be depressed by either the grass collector or by this deflector. If not pressed, the cutting blades don't work. In order to have the grass collector on, the fitting bar has to be in one place. In order to use the deflector, the fitting bar has to be in a different place. Moving it is a nightmare. The solution was to put a couple of rubber washers on the deflector to ensure that the button was pressed. After that, it's been fine. However, my biggest complaint by far is the price of this item. Nearly £100 for a shaped piece of plastic, a couple of bolts, a couple of bungee cables and a piece of metal that could have come out of a Meccano set. It really is terrible value and so typical of manufacturers to rip us off with optional items. It's not the fault of The Green Reaper - they were slightly cheaper than the competition. However, with a 3D printer, the whole lot could have been made for less than £15. Al-ko are not a charity but then again they are not a brand that inspire loyalty. Sadly, this appears to be the way of the world. Shame on you, Al-ko. Treat us like mugs and you don't get good reviews because, in essence, we are not happy customers.
