  1. Mankar-Two 30-50 Flex ULV Wheeled Sprayer

The Mankar-Two 30-50 Flex wheeled, push-along sprayer features two spring-loaded spray hoods to give an adjustable spray width of 30-50cm and is deployed primarily for in-row cultivations on rough terrain and/or on deep, soft ground.

This battery-operated machine has several benefits including a ground-driven pump for accurate application rate, spring-loaded hoods to avoid obstacles and control drift, plus the hoods can be mounted in the front or behind the wheel.

The spray hoods are shaped so that, for example, drooping branches glide perfectly and without risk to the crop, over the spray hood. This folding mechanism and thus the spray width, can be fixed if the flex-mechanism is not required, perhaps because the spray hood should push away branches instead of dodging them. Thanks to the spring-mounted deflecting spray hoods, Mankar Roll sprayers are perfect for spraying inbetween rows of commercial nursery stock, such as vineyards, Christmas trees, flowers, as well as paths for Local Authorities, and many more areas where fast efficient pedestrian spraying of total weed killers is required.

The two flex spray hoods, each with one electronic atomiser, are mounted next to one another on a side extension arm and boast excellent drift control. The core element of all MANKAR® ULV spraying systems is the segment rotation atomiser. ULV stands for "ultra low volume", meaning that a particularly small quantity of herbicide is necessary, a development of Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) technology. Contrary to conventional spraying processes, smaller sized, uniform liquid droplets can be generated and adapted to the area of application. Using a very narrow size spectrum of approximately 150µ, a defined volume of liquid is conveyed via pump to the segment rotary atomiser, spraying vertically downwards in an adjustable width. Due to this system, herbicides can be applied undiluted, without pressure, ensuring they are applied to the precise location required. The spray width can be variably adjusted at the atomiser so, depending on the application, spraying units can be adapted precisely to the width desired.

The narrow 53cm tyre is designed to roll through rough terrain whether the field is full of skidsteer tracks from the spring, or the trees are planted in rough, hilly terrain where it is inaccessible to a tractor. The sprayer is metred by the wheel so whatever speed you walk, the product will always be dispensed perfectly per area sprayed. With a glyphosate product, for example, you can spray 5 kilometres (5 miles) before you need to refill.

The machine features an electronic battery and atomiser monitoring function via an LED indicator. The LED glows green if the sprayer is operating correctly, if the battery has to be recharged it glows yellow and a red glowing LED means that the function of the atomiser has to be checked and – if necessary – recovered. The flow control enables a visual check of whether the flowrate of herbicide is correct.

Mankar® spraying systems are professional systems for effective, environmentally responsible and yet economical weed control with herbicides or herbicide mixtures without water. Very simply Mankar sprayers generally spray neat, undiluted herbicides or pesticides. They are based on ULV (ultra low volume) and controlled droplet application (CDA) technology for optimum distribution of an extremely small amount of active product with an even droplet size.

With the Mankar ULV/CDA sprayers, you continue to spray the same chemicals, but you will use less and you don’t need to dilute them with water and lug around 20kg of extra weight in the form of the water you dilute them with. There is no need to buy specially formulated chemicals in special compatible cartridges. Just continue to use whatever it is you use now but use it neat, less of it and get the same results with less operator effort.

Mankar sprayers are unique in that they are both CDA and ULV sprayers at the same time.

Mankar Roll Wheeled Push-along ULV Sprayers

Wheeled, push-along models for exact and path-dependent spraying

Mankar-Two and -One models are pushed like a wheelbarrow, easy to move around and do not require a vehicle to be operational. They are ideal for treatment of smaller or remote and hard-to-reach areas.

A wheel-driven pump guarantees accurate, path-dependent herbicide metering, independent of walking speed. Thanks to the low weight and robust wheel, uneven or sloping terrains are not a problem. Spray widths vary from 25 to 110cm, with or without arms.
