Snapper has been at this outdoor power equipment thing for more than 70 years. In that time they have evolved their products to meet the needs of a wide range of customers from first-time home buyers to seasoned landscape professionals. From their original product, the industry's first self-propelled rotary lawn mower, to new products including a full line of lithium-ion battery-powered products, it is all done to help you accomplish your work effortlessly and efficiently.

Customers have been able to count on Snapper's legacy of quality and reliability since 1951. In 2004 Snapper was acquired by Briggs & Stratton®, bringing two legendary American brands together. Their bright red mowers have helped countless homeowners make quick work of their lawns and helped lawn professionals build thriving businesses.

Snapper knows that taking care of a garden requires more than just a lawn mower. Today's Snapper line-up includes petrol and battery-powered pedestrian mowers, lawn tractors and zero turns, as well as other battery-powered tools to make work easier, such as hedge trimmers, leaf blowers and more. Snapper has extended their offering to meet the needs of the homeowners and professionals who count on them.

Sam the Snapper

A cast iron turtle head ornament appeared on some of the earliest “Snappin’ Turtle” mowers back in the 1950s. That association with the brand eventually led to Sam the Snapper as an icon for Snapper mowers. Like the brand, Sam has evolved over the years and was most recently used in 2009 before making his return as part of the current brand refresh.
