The Pro 11.50 RS chipper shredder represents a 20 per cent boost in power from DR's entry-level Premier 9.50 RS so it can chip and shred a greater capacity of material.
This model is powered by a Briggs & Stratton recoil-starting 11.5fpt engine which features a debris management system to protect the engine from whatever you kick up while working.
The machine features two separate input chutes: one for branches which get chipped and a larger one for lighter garden waste which gets shredded. If it is primarily lightweight material you deal with, and you only occasionally have branches to process, then DR Pro 11.50 RS could be then the ideal model for you.
The large hopper opening is ideal for feeding in armloads of leaves and prunings. The shredder employs 16 free-swinging hammers to pulverise garden debris up to 0.75", reducing the material by one twelfth of its original volume. The result is a fine organic mulch which is great for recycling into your landscape, either by cultivating it into your garden or feeding your compost heap.
The chipper hopper will accept branches up to 4" in diameter, which the Pro-Spec™ chipper knife then chops at a speed of 88.5mph to produce wood mulch that is ideal for decorating flower borders or lining pathways.
The DR Pro 11.50 RS chipper shredder is easy to manoeuvre by hand thanks to the transport wheels and cut-out hand grips on the shredder chute. With the addition of an optional pin hitch, you can easily tow the machine around your property using your lawn tractor or ATV.
