SCH Natural Sports Surface Equipment

The SCH rubber drag mat is constructed from moulded rubber with a galvanised towing bar.  It is ideal for use on most surfaces, both natural and artificial.  The rubber matting lessens surface damage that may be caused by heavier metal units.

Used on a regular basis, this small 12" sorrel roller from SCH breaks up any crust that tends to form on the soil.

The small spikes penetrate the surface which allows the air, nutrients and especially water, to start their journey to the roots.

A small roller is attached to iron out any small bumps and to facilitate the transport from the shed to the lawn.

This roller is ideal for use on fine turf surfaces, cricket squares, tennis coarts, bowling greens, etc. 

Spikes can be replaced when worn.

Ideal for use on paddocks, golf courses, football pitches and race tracks, the D turf care system from SCH provides all the benefits of aeration and slitting, allowing air into the roots to assist drainage and slow down the build up of thatch.

The 60" frame has category 1 three-point linkage tractor mounted as standard (other categories can be supplied).  A weight tray is incorporated in the design which gives a facility to add top weight to gain the required penetration.  this tray is also extremely useful for transportation of tools, etc.  For safety purposes a rear mesh guard cover is fitted.  The floating roller will push back any plucked divots without closing the penetrations; the roller can be lifted out of work if not required.  An adjustable scraper bar is fitted to the rear of the roller.

This mounted deep aerator attachment from SCH is an excellent drainage product on a sand racing track. Nine heavy duty aeration discs on 50mm stainless steel axle which comes with bearings and easily bolts onto the carrying frame.  The discs will penetrate up to 180mm (7") in suitable conditions.

The aerator's specially shaped tines pull at the ground on the way out, creating many small fractures to break down surface compaction. This is a very effective attachment for improving drainage, allowing air and nutrients to start their journey down to the roots.

This deep mounted slitter comprises nine heavy duty slitter "stars" on a 50mm stainless steel axle, comes with bearings and easily bolts to the carrying frame.  Up to 125mm (5") depth can be achieved in suitable conditions.   Extra weight may be added if required.

The slitter stars are designed to slice cleanly into the ground to promote root growth. The slitter attachment is an essential tool all year round to allow air, nutrients and especially water to start their journey down to the grass roots.

This dedicated towed grooming brush from SCH has a working width of 1200mm (48") and performs two functions:-

The stiff yellow brush teases into the matting, raising the surface to keep the pores open to encourage the drainage and allow air into the depth of the mat to prevent algea build up. The two rows of brushes have a cross bar system which adjusts the flex of the bristles. The brush can be lifted out of work easily for turning and transport from the driver's postition.

The three-point linkage mounted sorrel roller is a welcome addition to the sorrel roller range from SCH.  This multi-spiked roller is especially useful on large areas where a tractor has access. 

The rear roller adds penetration weight to the system to iron out any small bumps.  If the rear roller is required, a manual handle must be fitted.  A handle is supplied with each machine as standard.

The frame has category 1 mounting as standard, category 2 is available upon request.

Spikes can be replaced when worn.

This 60" hollow tine corer bolts onto the carrying frame in the same way as the aerator or slitter.  The revolving discs fitted with hollow spoon tines delve into the turf surface to remove, on average, a 75mm (3") core.  Removing cores from turfed areas allows air and water to have direct access to the root system; if lawn sand is applied, the core holes will fill with sand to give the maximum advantage to the root system. The rear roller is lifted out of work for this operation.

IMPORTANT: This attachment must be used in conjunction with the SCH 60" Mounted Frame for D System (Ref: DMF) which can be purchased separately (see related below).

Towing Hooks
The majority of SCH attachments are fitted with a clevis hitch and are designed for a towing height of 10-14" (250-350mm).  Other couplings such as a ball hitch, swivel hitch or ring hitch can be fitted if required.

Ideal for grooming sports pitches prior to use or at the end of play, the SCH three-point linkage mounted combination turf groomer is a new and improved multi-tasking unit and is the ultimate tool when it comes to grass care.

A single pass allows up to four operations to be carried out simultaneously. First, the leading star-shaped slitter bar pierces the surface to increase drainage and promote root growth. Followed by the brush and rake bars which tickle over the surface to enhance the quality and appearance of the area. Lastly, the rear roller firms up the surface and gives that much sought after striping. The four three tools can be adjusted by individual screw jacks for depth and pressure and can also be arranged in any order or lifted out when not required.

Incorporated into the design of the SCH combination turf groomer is a weight tray which allows top weight to be added if required to vary the penetration depth of the slitters. This tray also acts as a useful general-purpose carrier of tools and equipment.

Featuring a 150cm (60") working width and 170cm (68") overall width, the British-built combination turf groomer from SCH is also an ideal unit for general pitch grooming and maintenance.
