Regardless of the size of the garden you look after, a multi tool can be a sensible buy, especially if you are regularly strimming long grass, cutting tall hedges and maintaining trees.

The Handy MT26 4-in-1 multi tool employs the same 25.4cc 2-stroke engine unit to power a grass trimmer, brush cutter, hedge trimmer or pole pruner.

The power unit features a split shaft with loop handle to which you can attach either a curved shaft strimmer head (which comes with the nylon line already wound) for light grass trimming or a brush cutter blade (a three-tooth reversible metal blade) for cutting tough undergrowth such as brambles and tree saplings.

In addition, there is a long reach hedge trimmer attachment with a 45cm double-edged blade. The pole pruner is a small chainsaw with a 10" bar and chain which you can use to remove deadwood and small branches from tree canopies. Add the optional extension shaft to gain access to even higher branches without resorting to the use of a ladder (see related items below).

A harness allows more comfortable working for longer.
