Cobra Fortis 14" Dethatcher Cartridge

Dethatching your lawn cuts through the thatch with blades to remove the densest layers of thatch effectively. This Cobra 14" dethatcher cartridge is the most aggressive cassette equipped with thick, wide-spaced tines which will penetrate the soil up to 6mm in depth.

By removing the thatch, you allow the lawn to receive more light, moisture and nutrients, thus improving the overall growth rate and appearance.

Compatible with the Cobra Fortis 14L petrol cylinder mower, dethatching should ideally be carried out at least once a year, in late spring or autumn only, when moisture is available for the lawn to recover. The dethatcher cartridge will remove twice as much material as the verticut cartridge.

NB: This cartridge is designed to fit the Cobra Fortis range and is NOT compatible with any other brand of cylinder mower.

A major technological breakthrough in lawn care came with the birth of the quick exchange concept, which is key to Cobra's range of cylinder mowers. 

One of the biggest innovations in the world of cylinder lawn mowing for several decades, it is a system which allows you to remove the cylinder blades from the mower quickly and easily as a complete cassette. You can then either have the blades re-ground or simply replace them with a new cutting cassette. This makes maintenance of your cylinder mower much easier and prolongs its life. 

The second major benefit of the cartridge system is the versatility it offers, allowing you to easily convert your mower to suit different lawn maintenance tasks. The cutting blade cassette can be simply removed and replaced by one of the following lawn care cartridge attachments:-

• Verticut
• Scarifier
• Dethatcher
• Aerator

• 10-blade cassette
