If you are looking for a more convenient and fast way to cut grass and weeds in the presence of obstacles or between rows, the Orec RMK151 boasts a unique design perfect for professionals cultivating crops in vineyards and orchards where each plant is a valuable investment requiring safe care. It ensures efficient and accurate mowing of grass and weeds that take away water and nutrients from crops. The mowing effect of the RMK151 is so precise that it eliminates the need to use a brushcutter. Thanks to this, crop care takes much less time.

Thanks to its extremely compact size and low centre of gravity, the Rabbit RMK151 manages to be extremely agile and fast when mowing. On uneven ground or areas where there are hollows, the front pivoting axle always allows a safe and easy advance.

The 135cm cutter deck on the main unit is equipped with a centre blade with a swing tip blade on either end which retract when hitting a solid obstacle. The two floating steel knives allow you to shred shrubs up to 30mm thick.

The side wing increases the cutting width up to 150cm. The retractable mobile wing appendage is fitted with four nylon cutting cords, and is designed to mow grass and weeds in the lower part of the stem, around obstacles and trees, or crop rows. The external rubber protection in the form of a horizontal foam wheel, preserves the trunk of the plants during mowing operations to avoid any kind of damage. The outer wing extension retracts when an obstacle contacts the protection wheel or by simply pressing and releasing the control pedal. A lever on the top of the wingtip enables it to be lifted, with the swashplate disengated, when moving.

Taking advantage of the oversized cutting capability, it can also be used to cut grass under solar panels, under tree branches or in any other working conditions difficult to access with traditional machines.

The height of cut is infinitely variable and ranges between 50mm and 90mm. The RMK151's reduced weight and footprint make it an agile operating machine that does not compact the soil. It allows you to cut and maintain the drainage of the most intense rainwater.

The RMK151 is equipped with a 726cc Kawasaki twin-cylinder petrol combustion engine, a large 12 litre fuel tank, a hydrostatic transmission and a gearbox with a differential lock, which combine to ensure the reliability of the machine for many years of intensive use and a long time of operation on one refuelling. A comfortable seat with an ergonomic handlebar ensures easy manoeuvering (forward speed up to 10km/h, reverse speed up to 7km/h) of the brush cutter amongst narrow crop rows.

Other key features include a sturdy 38mm tubular front axle with central reinforcement in the hinge area; 3.5mm anti-corrosion COR-TEN steel plate with large front entrance and curved side profile that can be inspected for blade cleaning and maintenance; continuous 35mm tubular frame between the front and rear allows for less rigidity on the machine on uneven terrain, ensuring resistance and long life over time and use.

Kawasaki FS651V engine

The RMK151 is equipped with the 726cc professional Kawasaki FS651V OHV engine with these top features:
  • Additional dual-stage filter to maintain optimal performance.
  • Automatic decompression: easy and reliable starting regardless of engine temperature.
  • Electric starter.
  • Spherical combustion chambers to increase efficiency and maximise engine power.
  • High performance lubrication system.

Orec transmission – maximum efficiency at reduced costs

  • The transmission is a fundamental part of a machine and its good design and construction makes Orec machines more professional.
  • For this reason, to give maximum quality, Orec designs and builds its own transmissions in-house.
  • The Orec RMK151 is equipped with hydrostatic transmission and engageable differential lock.
  • The particular reliability of these transmissions, designed for heavy-duty work, avoids breakages or expensive maintenance interventions and allows them to last a long time.

Frame and cutting deck

  • Sturdy 38mm tubular front axle with central reinforcement in the hinge area.
  • Equipped with a knife holder bar (two movable knives at the ends) in 6mm upper steel with anti-torsion shaping. The two floating steel knives allow you to shred shrubs up to 30mm thick.
  • 3.5mm anti-corrosion COR-TEN steel plate with large front entrance and new curved side profile that can be inspected for blade cleaning and maintenance.
  • The 35mm tubular frame in continuity between the front and rear allows for less rigidity of the machine on uneven terrain, guaranteeing resistance and long life over time and use.

Low trim and precise cut

  • Cuts close to tree trunks or obstacles without damaging the trunk: thanks to its lowered position, it allows you to cut closer to the obstacle while still maintaining grip on the ground.
  • Thanks to its extremely compact dimensions and lowered center of gravity, the Rabbit mower manages to be very agile and fast when mowing. If you have uneven ground or the presence of depressions, the tilting front wheel axle always allows safe and easy progress even on slopes.

Inter-row wing

The external wing appendage retracts upon contact with an obstacle with the protection wheel or simply by pressing and releasing the control pedal.

  • DOES NOT DAMAGE THE STEM OF THE PLANT: the retractable mobile wing appendage and the external rubber protection preserve the trunk of the plant during mowing operations, avoiding any type of damage.
  • STOP CHEMICAL PRODUCTS: Very valid alternative to the use of chemical products for cleaning the under-plant from weeds in the vineyard and orchard, thus making cultivation as organic as possible.
  • DOES NOT COMPACT THE SOIL: Its reduced weight and size make it an agile operating machine that does not compact the soil. It allows you to cut and maintain the drainage of the most intense rainwater over time.

Controls and operation

  • On the right are the forward lever, the engine accelerator and the engageable differential lock lever to couple the rear drive wheels and advance on any surface.
  • On the left there is the lever for millimetric adjustment of the cutting height. It is easily adjustable in infinite positions thanks to the lever with gas piston support. The blades are engaged manually by operating the appropriate lever positioned alongside.
  • There are also controls to manage the external wing, to close and open it as needed.
  • The tank is large, which allows for greater continuous working autonomy.
  • The comfortable enveloping seat gives greater support to the operator when used on lateral slopes.

Clawed wheels

  • On slippery, steep and uneven surfaces or in the presence of tall grass, the high profile clawed wheels of the Orec Rabbit mowers guarantee a safe grip and, thanks to the differential, the operator can tackle any type of work with peace of mind.
  • Orec uses a very accentuated tractor profile to allow less mixing of the chopped material on the tread, ensuring always optimal traction.
