Terms & Conditions
Welcome to The Green Reaper's website terms and conditions for use. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound to the terms and conditions set out below.
Contract for the Supply of Goods
The display of goods on the ‘The Green Reaper’ website amounts to an invitation to treat only and is not an offer to sell goods at any price indicated. No contract for the supply of goods will be deemed to exist between you and ‘The Green Reaper’ unless, and until, an email is sent by ‘The Green Reaper’ to you confirming that your order has been processed. You must check that the details of your confirmation email are correct as soon as possible and you should print out and keep a copy for your records. This confirmation email amounts to an acceptance by ‘The Green Reaper’ (or third party supplier that is engaged on your behalf by ‘The Green Reaper’) of your offer to buy goods from ‘The Green Reaper’ and this acceptance is effective regardless of whether or not you receive the email. ‘The Green Reaper’ is free to withdraw from a prospective contract at any time prior to acceptance. This also applies in the case of any error or inaccuracy in respect of the goods, any description applied to the goods, the availability of the goods or the order itself. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice.
To the fullest extent permitted at law, ‘The Green Reaper’ is providing this website and its contents on an "as is" basis and makes no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to this site or its contents. ‘The Green Reaper’ disclaims all such representations and warranties, including for example warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, ‘The Green Reaper’ does not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this site is accurate, complete or current.
Whilst we have made every effort to ensure that our product descriptions are accurate, descriptions are to be used as a guide only. We do not accept responsibility for accidents or injury which may occur due to errors or omissions on this web site. Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions which come with your goods.

Processing of Orders
As soon as we have received authorisation for the payment from your card provider, we will send you an email acknowledging receipt of your order and we will begin to process your order through our system.
Stock willing, ‘The Green Reaper’ aims to ship all items within one working day of receiving your order but your order may be delayed if the item is not in stock with us or our suppliers. Some items may be unavailable. We regret we are not always able to supply dates when our suppliers may get an item in stock. If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait or we may offer you an alternative product.
We will keep you updated by email as to the status of your order (unless you ask us not to). Please note that your order may be sent to you in installments. All prices include sales taxes (where applicable) unless otherwise stated.
Shipments to your delivery address may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges to clear customs must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country so we advise that customers contact their local customs office for further information. Note that international shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. Our standard Returns Policy applies to all purchases from ‘The Green Reaper’.
Limitation of Liability
This liability section applies only to the extent permitted by law. Except as set out below, neither ‘The Green Reaper’ nor any of its partners, employees or other representatives will be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this website. ‘The Green Reaper’ does not limit its liability for death or personal injury to the extent only that it arises as a result of negligence of ‘The Green Reaper’, its partners, employees or other representatives.
‘The Green Reaper’ does not accept liability (except as set out below) for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services. In the unlikely event that you receive goods which were not what you ordered or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, ‘The Green Reaper’ shall, at its own option, make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund you the amount you paid for the goods in question PROVIDED THAT you notify ‘The Green Reaper’ of the problem in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of delivery of the goods.
‘The Green Reaper’ does not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of or damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of the ‘The Green Reaper’ website or for any products purchased from the ‘The Green Reaper’ website. ‘The Green Reaper’ will only be liable for direct loss up to a maximum total of the price of the product purchased in respect of any claim.
It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to order. Anyone caught willfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We track the electronic 'fingerprints' of every order placed on ‘The Green Reaper’ to enable us and all legitimate crime prevention and prosecution authorities to trace individual users engaging in criminal activities on our website.
Modification of Terms
‘The Green Reaper’ reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the ‘The Green Reaper’ website. These terms and conditions will apply to your order once you have received your confirmation email. They will supersede any other terms and conditions in whatever form given. Please print and retain a copy of the Terms and Conditions once you have received your confirmation email.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm.
In accordance with existing UK Distance Selling Regulations, any product [excluding pre-assembled items such as lawn tractors] may be returned [unused and boxed in its original packing] within 7 days of delivery for whatever reason. The cost of carriage to return the item will be deducted from any refund issued.
All returned products will be examined before any refund is issued. In the event that the product is found to have been misused in any way (eg: on petrol models where the engine has been run with insufficient engine oil), we reserve the right to sue the consumer for a breach of this duty of care.
All prices include VAT 20%. Any additional delivery charge will be added to your cart. A supplement for Saturday delivery is available on request but may be different depending on the charges from the courier company. Prices for delivery to overseas destinations can be obtained by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All products are supplied with the manufacturer's guarantee. If your product develops a manufacturing fault during the period of guarantee, you are required to return the product to us to be examined or make use of the extensive networks of manufacturers' agents around the country. In the event that a product is returned to us and the fault is found not be a manufacturing defect, we reserve the right to recover any costs incurred including carriage charges and labour time.
Where goods purchased are alleged to be defective, the customer is required to inform 'The Green Reaper' explaining the problem. You must produce proof of purchase when returning goods and would be well advised to include a letter detailing the problem so as to avoid misunderstanding. Please return such goods to 'The Green Reaper' for inspection which will both allow us to discuss the problem with you and decide on a mutual remedy and allow manufacturers to undertake inspections so as to allow production methods to be modified if necessary. Machines modified or adapted by the customer shall not be warranted by the manufacturer nor be liable for any failures as a result of the misuse.
All 4-stroke petrol-powered machinery, if delivered by national courier, will have NO OIL in the engine. In most instances, this is provided by us free of charge and maybe contained in the original packaging or sent under separate cover. Do not start your engine without filling it will the appropriate amount of oil, as detailed in the owner's manual.
Please note, if you need or choose to hire a machine whilst your equipment is being repaired, neither 'The Green Reaper' nor the manufacturer is liable, or will compensate for any subsequent hire charges which may be incurred. It is the customer's responsibility to return the machine either to 'The Green Reaper' or a dealer for repair, and the customer will be liable for any carriage charges incurred.
