This large area salt spreader from The Handy is ideal for salting paths, drives and pavements but it can also be used for spreading ice melt, sand and seed mulch.

Equipped with a T-handle to push and move the spreader easily and a wide spread width from 3 to 3.6m, The Handy THSSALT spreader is perfect for all of those large area spreading jobs in your garden or around your house.

Complete with a hopper screen cover and rain cover, the 56.8kg (125lb) hopper is made from durable polypropylene and is excellent for evenly spreading any dry, free flowing granular material only. The robust spreader has a stainless steel frame, axle and fixings and heavy duty stainless steel gear, with large 14" pneumatic wheels which enable it to cope with rough terrain and an adjustable feed/flow control.

The Handy THSSALT spreader has been specifically designed to be pushed at a speed of three miles per hour, which is a brisk walking speed. Slower or faster speeds will change the spread patterns so you simply need to adjust the flow rate accordingly.
