The Green Reaper is a succesful online, family-run business based in Princes Risborough, selling garden machinery, tools and equipment nationwide for over 20 years. We are looking for a part-time, office-based person to join our small, friendly team.

Job Title: Purchase Ledger Controller

Role:

• Responsible for preparation and settlement of monthly supplier accounts ensuring smooth continuity of sales and purchase cashflow.
• Reports to Managing Director.

Duties include:

• Input suppliers' invoices into the accounting system via QuickBooks online.
• Check pricing on each invoice against suppliers’ buying terms and conditions.
• Reconcile QuickBooks each month against suppliers’ statements and prepare bank remittance for the Managing Director’s approval and payment.
• Monitor the credit limit for each supplier to ensure the company remains within the terms of any agreed service agreement.
• Monitor customer and supplier queries that impact the company’s accounting system in close liaison with the customer support and sales teams. Chase outstanding supplier queries to ensure prompt settlement or escalate to a Director.
• Warranties – process warranty claims using distributors’ websites and obtain reimbursement in accordance with the suppliers’ terms of trade.

Qualities required:

• Working days/hours are flexible by mutual agreement. The volume of work is seasonal with the busy periods of the year between Spring and Autumn.
• You must be numerate, with an understanding of basic accounting. Knowledge of the payment system Quick Books would be helpful but not essential as training will be provided.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential  as you will be working in a close knit team.
• Salary negotiable and paid monthly on an” hours worked” basis (approximately 15 hours per week).

Situated in Princes Risborough close to the railway station and within walking distance of the town centre.
